Apprentice Bricklayer
Job Introduction
Reporting directly to Gleeson’s Site Manager you will be carrying out general bricklaying duties on all stages of the construction of Gleeson’s new homes.
The Apprentice Bricklayer role will be attached to one of our Area offices, but this is a site based role, and a site will be allocated during the recruitment process.
Role Responsibility
• Working as part of a team 'gang' of bricklayers on all stages of construction, from sub-structure to super-structure
• Work is often at height on scaffolding, therefore you need to be ‘good with heights’
• Ensuring the brickwork of the finished home is of a high standard and presentable
• Maintain tools and materials
• Be an effective part of the site team
• Committed and hardworking, as at times the work can be physically demanding
The Ideal Candidate
• Like outdoor working
• Be physically capable
• Must have a minimum Grade C GCSE, or equivalent, in maths and/or english
• Be prepared to travel to site
Working hours...
• 39 hours per week
• Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm
• Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm
