Apprentice Bricklayer
Job Introduction
Reporting directly to the Site Manager you will be carrying out general bricklaying duties on all stages of the construction of Gleeson Homes developments.
Role Responsibility
- Working as part of a team (gang) of bricklayers on all stages of construction from sub-structure to super-structure
- Work is often at height on scaffolding, therefore you need to be ‘good with heights’
- Ensuring the brickwork of the finished home is of a high standard and presentable
- Maintain tools and materials
- Be an effective part of the site team
- Committed and hardworking, as at times the work can be physically demanding
Working Hours
- 39 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm
- Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm
- One day per week at a local College to obtain am Level 2 in Bricklaying
The Ideal Candidate
- Enjoys outdoor working
- Physically capable
- Must have a minimum Grade C GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths and English
- Prepared to travel to site
