Apprentice IT Helpdesk Analyst

Job Introduction

MJ Gleeson PLC is currently undergoing a period of rapid growth with IT being one of the key business support functions.

Dealing with the day to day support of our IT systems you will work alongside our IT Manager and the support team and will be effective in the handling, logging and resolving of a wide range of support issues.
This role would suit someone who has an interest in IT and beginning a career within an IT service department. MJ Gleeson utilise a number of cloud-based technologies supplied by market leading providers such as Microsoft, Horizon and COINS.

Role Responsibility

Responsible for providing excellent customer service in all interactions with customers, desktop, laptop and tablet users.
Support over 500 users spread over 11 permanent sites and up to 75 temporary sites at present and currently increasing.
• Resolution of all incidents both remotely and face to face
• Resolve issues as the first point of contact whenever possible
• Hardware build, configuration and deployment
• Windows 7, 8 and 10 support
• Office 2010 and 365 support
• Network printer support Microsoft Office 365 support and administration:
• User account management
• SharePoint support
• Lync configuration and support Active Directory administration:
• User account setup and administration Deployment and support of mobile and fixed telephony:
• Hardware configuration
• User access and permission management

The Ideal Candidate

• GCSE grades C or above in Maths and English
• GCSE in IT/Computer Science would be beneficial Personal Attributes...
• Excellent time management
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Team player, with the ability to work in a standalone environment
• A full driving licence would be advantageous as there may be a requirement to travel and stay away over night as required
