Commercial Assistant

Job Introduction

Gleeson Homes are looking for a passionate and collaborative experienced Commercial Assistant to join our ever growing head office team to assist the Group Commercial Function with the day to day running of the department.

Role Responsibility

To maximise profits through effective management of the supply and subcontract chain in accordance with the Commercial and Buying Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain master site list periodically
• Maintain regional commercial organisational charts with sites and appointed QS’s
• Produce and maintain Cost to Complete timetable
• Manage supplier and subcontract pre-qualification process
• Update Credit Safe platform with subcontract information  
• Cleansing of existing data on our operating system COINs
• Maintenance of high value payment and order authorisations
• Manage Group Commercial Inbox
• Control rebate trackers for procurement and utilities  
• Take and distribute meeting minutes
• Maintenance of group agreement documentation
• Maintenance of commercial staff induction timetable
• Contribute to maintenance of standard documentation version control and distributio
• Support of general running of Group Commercial team

The Ideal Candidate

• Knowledge and experience of house building industry
• Strong communication skills
• Experience of COINs software
• Scheduling and time management skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Team player
