FP&A Manager

Job Introduction

Gleeson Homes are now looking for an FP&A Manager to work within our Homes Division. Reporting directly to the Homes FD and with significant exposure to the CFO, the FP&A Manager will work closely alongside the existing Finance team and other functional departments across the division, particularly Commercial and Sales. This is a key role within a growing business and you will be responsible for leading the production and maintenance of budgeting and forecasting models supporting growth in the Division. You will also lead the production and distribution of cost analysis and financial and non-financial KPIs, supported by, and with line manager responsibility for, the FP&A Assistant.

Role Responsibility

  • Ownership of budgeting and forecasting models which support the Homes FD in forecasting profit and cashflow for the Homes Division
  • Working with Sales and Commercial teams to ensure forecasting models incorporate the most up to date information on expected margins and selling prices on future unit completions
  • Analysing cost variances incurred and enhancing the understanding of business performance to share with key stakeholders
  • Lead the development of KPI reporting, enhancing both existing reporting and identifying new relevant KPIs, with a particular focus on automation of production utilising the COINS ERP system
  • Provide direction and supervision to the FP&A Assistant, ensuring workload is appropriately prioritised and all deadlines are met
  • Ad hoc analysis as required by the Homes FD, CFO and the wider business

The Ideal Candidate

  • A qualified accountant (eg. ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with 3+ years PQE and experience of budgeting, forecasting and KPI production
  • A confident IT user with advanced Excel skills able to manage large and complex databases and an ability to pick up new IT systems quickly
  • Excellent analytical skills able to identify trends in data and share these with both financial and non-financial users
  • An ambitious team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to lead others
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to develop good relationships across the business
  • Previous experience of working in a larger business or Plc environment, would be advantageous
