Job Introduction:
This role reports to the Senior Group Accountant and works closely with the Deputy Group Financial Controller and Group Financial Controller as part of a highly skilled and professional Group Finance team. This key role will be responsible for accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting for the Group.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monthly consolidation and preparation of Group results
- Half year results consolidation and interim accounts reporting
- Year end results consolidation and statutory financial statements including PLC consolidated accounts and 7 trading subsidiaries (all IFRS)
- Consolidating the annual budget and preparing budget reporting packs
- Providing accounting support to the operating divisions
- Liaising with external auditors during the annual audit process
- Supporting the timely completion of tax returns and payments
- Reporting the cash position of the Group through accurate daily tracking and forecasting
- Ad hoc projects / analysis as required

Candidate Profile:
- Qualified accountant, ideally 1-2 years post qualified experience
- Would suit a first-time mover from practice into industry
- Ideally Big 4 / Top 10 trained
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)
- Experience with group accounts and consolidations would be helpful
