Land Apprentice
Job Introduction
Gleeson Homes are looking for Land Apprentice to join our busy land department within the Area Office working on the land requirements for your specific region.
Role Responsibility
Assisting with land opportunity identification including:
- Reviewing ‘Local Plans’
- Reviewing Barbour ABI information
- Regular contact with local land agents
- Land Registry searches
- Send speculative interest letters to landowners
- Trawl for land opportunities and SHLAA (Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment)
- Monitor Local Authority planning policies/delivery document progress
Assisting in preparation of land offer bid packs including:
- Printing/compiling reports and drawings
- Applying for service records
- Preparation of offer letters
Assisting in preparation of planning applications including:
- Printing/compiling reports and drawings
- Occasional liaison with external consultants
- Assisting in production of ‘in-house’ reports
Assisting with Planning Policy identification including:
- Reviewing ‘Local Plans’
The Ideal Candidate
- Must have a driving licence and own transport
- Must have a minimum Grade C GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths and English
- Strong personal organisational skills
- Computer literate, ideally with experience of Microsoft Excel
