Payroll Administrator

Job Introduction

Gleeson Homes have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our ever growing payroll team. In this role you will be collaboratively working alongside another Payroll Administrator with the responsibility of facilitating the end-to-end process of the weekly payroll for Gleeson Homes and completing ad-hoc projects for the Payroll Manager. Please see below for a list of the day-to-day duties encompassed within this role.

Role Responsibility

  • Processing weekly payroll for approximately 180 employees
  • Setting up new starters on the IRIS system
  • Collating and processing timesheets
  • Calculating leavers final payments
  • Calculating sickness, maternity and paternity pay
  • Creating BACs payments
  • Pension processing via Scottish Widows
  • Generating reports for the finance department
  • FPS submissions
  • Issuing P45's
  • Processing expenses via COINS
  • Monitoring and resolving payroll queries
  • Managing and maintain the payroll inbox
  • First point of contact for any weekly payment queries
  • Assisting in ad-hoc duties when required by the Payroll Manager

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience within a similar role is required
  • A full understanding of payroll processing and legislation
  • Good communication skills via phone and email
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage time constraints and working towards tight deadlines
  • A respect for confidentially is a must
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience with the IRIS payroll software is desirable
