Payroll Assistant (5 Weeks Fixed Term - Available Immediately)
Job Introduction
Gleeson Homes are looking for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join our payroll team on a five week fixed term contract (holiday cover) to process weekly payroll for approximately 180 employees.
Interviews for this role will bed held on: Friday 18th, Monday 21st & Friday 25th January. Please ensure you are available for one of these dates prior to application.
Role Responsibility
- Complete weekly payroll cycle for approx. 180 employees using Sage Snowdrop KCS payroll
- Process new starters, leavers and amendments to employment
- Administer SSP, SMP, SPP, PAYE and NI, attachment of earnings and staff loans/advances.
- Manage the auto enrolment of staff into the company's pension scheme (Peoples Pension)
- Create BACS and upload to Paygate
- Upload Pension file to Pension provider
- Generate reports for various parties
- Analyse and resolve any pay queries that arise and provide information back to unit managers as required
- Have an understanding of payroll legislation
- Deal with RTI procedures and send the FPS in a timely manner
- Issue P45's
The Ideal Candidate
- A full understanding of the payroll process
- Good communication and interactive skills via phone and email
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage time constraints and work to tight deadlines
- A respect for confidentiality
- Competent in Microsoft Excel
- Previous use of Sage Snowdrop KCS payroll (desirable)
