Regional HR Business Partner - Yorkshire & The Midlands

Job Introduction

Due to internal promotion Gleeson Homes have an opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our ever expanding HR Department. As Regional HR Business Partner your role will be to provide generalist, operational and administrative HR support to business unit teams in line with business strategy and HR Department Policies and Procedures.  A full clean driving licence is essential as you will be expected to travel within your given region as and when necessary to ensure presence in area offices.

 

The region associated with this vacancy is Yorkshire & The Midlands covering: South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, East Yorkshire & The Midlands. 

Role Responsibility

Recruitment & Selection

  • Working closely with the internal recruitment team to provide support for the business unit recruitment needs
  • Organise and facilitate new starter inductions

Employee Relations

  • Work with line management and the HR Manager to resolve employee relations issues that may arise in accordance with HR policies and legislation
  • Provide advice and guidance to line managers with the use of HR policies and procedures

HR & Payroll Administration

  • Carry out key HR administration as required ensuring the smooth running of the department
  • Ensure accurate salary administration is processed and relevant deadlines are met
  • Ensure information is entered onto the HR database (IRIS) accurately and within agreed timescales
  • Work alongside the HR Assistant and payroll team to ensure all monthly and weekly starter/leaver/contract update information is on systems and files

Training & Development

  • Work with business unit and training manager to identify training needs and develop training plans accordingly

The Ideal Candidate

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience of working within an HR function at HR Advisor level
  • Graduate or part qualified CIPD

Key Skills

  • Demonstrable HR advisory/generalist capability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • IT literate Microsoft office-word, excel, PowerPoint

Personal Attributes

  • Self-motivator, ability to work on own initiative
  • Team player
  • A full driving licence
  • The ability to travel and stay away over night as required
