Training Manager

Job Introduction

Gleeson Homes have a brand new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Training Manager to join our rapidly growing HR team. Your role will be to coordinate and establish clear training needs for the Group and manage the learning and development requirements and processes for the business. Including but not limited to: design and delivery of training workshops, sourcing and coordinating management development programmes and training activities.

Role Responsibility

  • Identify opportunities to improve and develop performance of each team within each business unit and across the Group
     
  • Design and deliver effective workshops and training materials where appropriate
     
  • Review and update training workshops and associated materials where required
     
  • Manage the apprenticeship levy and the digital apprenticeship management system.  Identify opportunities for maximising levy funds through new/higher level and degree apprenticeships 
  • Work closely with the CITB to manage all grants and funding when and where appropriate
     
  • Work with the regional HR BPs to review, design, implement and monitor effective performance management processes, e.g. PDRs, PDPs
     
  • Working alongside the HR Director, design, review and implement effective talent management and succession planning processes
     
  • Source and select consultants, training services and resources as appropriate to meet business needs
     

The Ideal Candidate

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Worked within a Training/L & D role coordinating & facilitating learning and development needs across a multi-site business
  • Understanding and experience of purchasing consultancy, training services and resources
  • Experience of building training plans in a systematic and structured way

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent
  • Construction or housebuilding experience would be an advantage
  • Coaching qualification is desirable but not essential
